Melody & Brent
Washington Golf and Country Club
Mt Olivet Methodist Church
Alexandria, Virginia

I will admit it, I judge people on how they treat their waiter at a restaurant. You can really tell a lot about a person by how they interact with the people they met on a day to day basis. When I first met Melody and Brent we went out for lunch. Over our sandwiches they kept smiling and thanking our waiter. I knew right away that I would love these two. They have a way of making everyone around them happy and they have a way of making people feel good about themselves. Not just with their enormous smiles, but with their complements and ability to thank and truly listen. At the end of their wedding, not only was I blown away by the crazy beauty, the shear size of the bride and grooms smiles, but I truly felt better about myself. So Melody and Brent, thank you for having me be part of your wedding, while at the same time, making me truly feel important and special. That is a wonderful gift.

A big thank you to the talented Debi Parker for shooting with me! Your shots are just amazing and you are crazy fun to be around!

I love this picture! His smile looks like it is about to jump off his face! He had the look of uncontainable happiness as he saw his bride walking down the aisle!

Erica & Jonathan
The Most Holy Rosary Church, Abbeyleix, Ireland
Castle Durrow, County Laois, Ireland
Day after photos, Cliffs of Moher

This wedding was epic. I have been to a lot of weddings now, and I remember on numerous occasions at Erica and Jonathan’s wedding in which my jaw dropped. The reception castle, the greenery, the day after session at the famous Cliffs of Moher, it was all way beyond words. The whole wedding gave me chills. Erica and Jonathan are both such amazing people, it was such an honor to photograph their epic wedding in scenic Ireland.

The wedding was full of fun and a lot of Irish touches. The majority of the guest were locals as the bride is originally from Ireland (she moved to the states when she was young). Those guys know how to party. Erica even hiked up her dress to show off some of her traditional Irish dancing. I love the shot with the minister and his Guinness, only in Ireland. The wedding went until past 5am, like I said before the Irish know how to party!

After the late night Erica and Jonathan woke up early to travel across Ireland to do a day after shoot at the Cliffs of Moher. I have had a lot of crazy engagement shoots in my life, but this one was definitely the most crazy ever. When on top of a little castle at the edge of the cliffs, one of the men that work there said to us “you can climb to the exposed top if you want”. Erica, who has a fear of heights, agreed (I was shocked). So there we were with a 360 degree view, wind whipping Erica’s veil and me shacking so hard it was hard to hold my camera. It was sublime, and we got some of my favorite pictures ever! So thank you two for your epic wedding, facing your fear of heights for the sake of photography and for giving me an experience I will never forget. Another big thank you to my wonderful husband who helped out in so many ways.

Lee & Jason
St Regis DC

It was very funny to me to feel like I was shooting a destination wedding right down the road. Jason and Lee from my home, Atlanta, and they traveled up to downtown DC to get married. So I had the best of both worlds, good Georgia folks, and a wedding close to my husband and dog! They had lots of small Georgia touches, like the tables all named after Georgia famous spots. Another aspect that made this wedding feel like home is that Jason and Lee both remind me of some of my friends in Atlanta. Very chilled out, relaxed and just happy people, that are totally in love with their dog (who made a special appearance as a cake topper) and each other. The wedding was beautiful. It was outdoors in the early evening light, then a crazy fun reception. A big thank you to Astrid for shooting with me!

Aylin & John
New York, New York
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Brooklyn
Columbus Citizens Foundation, Manhattan

I don’t know where to even begin with this wedding. It was perfect. I remember the first time I meet Aylin, we clicked right away. She is so passionate about traveling, her family, her fiance, and just full of stories. I could just listen to Aylin for days on her amazing life. Little did I know that her fiance is also full of stories and adventure. I can’t wait to start hearing the stories that these two are going to make together, all I know is that they will be full of adventure, smiles and a told over a nice glass of wine. I can’t wait!

Back to New York. The wedding was way beyond words. Aylin looked not only breathtaking, but she had an amazing glow to her. So happy and so in love. Aylin and John’s wedding was not only a celebration of their relationship with their family, but it was an awesome time, and everyone had a blast. Thank you two so much for making me feel so welcome and for making me feel like part of the family. It was a truly special wedding. A big thank you to the talented Natalie Franke, who not only ran around New York with me, but she took some crazy amazing pictures for Aylin and John.

One of my favorites of the day! The word sums up the wedding, beautiful!

If you get a chance, check out the video below and listen to what John mumbles to himself as he sees his bride walk down the aisle. So sweet! Music by Triple Scoop Music and captured on the day.

I am very excited to show off a new product that I will be offering. It is a combination of Photos, Video, and Audio in one slideshow. I have seen a lot of other photographers do these sorts of show, but for the first time that I have ever seen, I have introduced a few clips from a spy camera that I put on the groom. Not only do you see the brides face as she sees him for the first time at the alter (from the groom’s perspective), but you also see the groom’s view of walking through his guest for the first time as husband and wife. I call it my Groom Camera! I am kind of in love with it.

All background music was recorded during the wedding ceremony, so it is the actually songs played by their musician as they got married. So make sure your audio is turned on. A big thank you to Thu my talented second shooter, and to my Dad who came out to give me a hand with the video! You guys rock!

I am so happy to be showing off this new product with such an awesome bride and groom at such a beautiful wedding! Taylor and Alan are both totally in love and both a so much fun! So I had a lot of fun with the video and pictures, and I think it shows. Oh and sorry Will, I couldn’t help but include that little snip-it of you. I hope you guys enjoy!
