I have had some amazing moments in my life, mostly with a camera in a hand.  Moments where I have felt nothing but pure joy.  It is like your mind empties and then you just feel overwhelming happiness.   I remember standing at the foot of the stage at Aussie Stadium in Sydney just moments before the Red Hot Chili Peppers came to the stage.  I had my camera, ready to shoot, with a press pass that said Rollingstone stuck to my shirt.  The lights went down, the gigantic crowd erupted in cheers and yells.  I will always remember that spot, the sound, the breeze in the air, and the feeling of accomplishment.  I closed my eyes…pure joy…

I have felt this many times since.  Swimming with sea lions, rock climbing to the top of a cliff in Brazil, having my idol  give me a wet willie, and most importantly marrying my husband on an island in the Zambezi (hippos, monkeys, elephants, and all).   I live for these moments, and nothing brings me more happiness then being ready with a camera in my hand.

Watching others have their moments still make me tear up.  I love it.  I feel very special that so many couples have trusted me to be there and capture one their biggest life moments, their wedding day.  I feel very blessed to witness so much love, laughter, and pure joy.  Plus I get cake, how cool is my job!!!
