Here are a few images from my engagement session with Melody and Brent from over the weekend. I just love these two from the moment I met them. Both with huge smiles and contagious enthusiasm for just about everything. Brent proposed to Melody right in front of the train compartment shown below. Thanks again for coming out and letting me play with the images. I had so much fun!

What a wonderful way to end 2009! Laura and Cory are both so laid back and original. Laura put so many little touches into the wedding that made it so unique. She designed her dress herself (and it was beautiful on her), they made characters for their programs, their wedding cake made to look like a stack of books, and their rings were both very much Cory and Laura.
Cory was so full of emotion throughout the day, a smile, then a tear, then a laugh all within minutes. Laura just looked liked she was full of pure joy. I think one of my favorite moments was right after the “you may kiss the bride” Laura gave Cory a big hug and the expression on her face was priceless. She looked overwhelmed with happiness! It was beautiful.

Kristi Odom, founder and lead photographer of Photos by Kristi INC, has had a long career in photography even at her young age. She studied under one of National Geographic’s best photographers, freelanced for such publications as Rollingstone, and photographed the world on a solo expedition around 6 continents. She uses her photography series “6 Continents, a Girl, and a Camera” not only to show the beauty seen throughout the world, but alongside her work she often lectures to give people the courage to travel and live abroad.
Kristi Odom has been capturing weddings for over five years now. Kristi has a way of capturing weddings in a very fun and playful manner. Being such a outdoor enthusiast, Kristi loves using nature as an element, as well as natural light to capture more raw emotions.
